Summer Reading Lists 2013

Most parents would agree that nothing would make them happier than to see their child's nose in a book this summer. But that is often easier said than done. With distractions like the pool, summer camps, television, and video games, asking your child to add a book to their plans is like asking a fish to walk. But book publisher Scholastic has a new summer reading campaign designed to help get your kids excited about reading this summer! Parents can sign their kids up for free online at http://www.scholastic.com/ups/campaigns/src-2013. And kids can log their reading minutes at the same site in exchange for cool prizes and rewards.   Not sure what books to suggest to your kids? Most schools will furnish a summer reading list to students at the end of the school year. But if your child did not come home with a summer reading list, check out these summer reading list suggestions from SummerReading.org:   For babies, toddlers and pre-K kids - http://summerreading.org/booklists.php#gb   For grades K-1 - http://summerreading.org/booklists.php#g1   For grades 2-3 - http://summerreading.org/booklists.php#g3   For grades 4-5 - http://summerreading.org/booklists.php#g5   Middle school - http://summerreading.org/booklists.php#gm   High school - http://summerreading.org/booklists.php#gt   Club Z! also offers enrichment programs such as our proprietary Learning Built to Last study skills series for students in grades 5-12, a writing program for students in grades 5-12, and a summer reading program for students in grades 9-12.
